After building the NPR One Service for Sonos, I recently found myself looking for a way to play my music stored on OneDrive. Seeing that OneDrive provides an easy to use API, I built this service. If you run into any issues, feel free to email me at b.michael.dick@gmail.com.

The OneDrive website appears, shown here. You can access your OneDrive files from any computer or device with a web browser. After you sign into the OneDrive website, you can add, delete, move, and rename files, as well as create folders and move files between folders. Available for Mac and Windows PCs, AnyTrans for Cloud is the world's first cloud manager that allows you to access iCloud Drive, and manage files across multiple cloud drive services. It is also available on the web, but if you need to download the AnyTrans for Cloud program to access iCloud. For other drive clouds, the web app is all good.

Adding OneDrive to your Sonos

Open your Sonos desktop app and go to Help -> About my Sonos System… (on Mac this is located under the SONOS menu)

Then note down the ip address under Associated Product. For me this would be 192.168.1.203.

Alternatively, you can also use your Sonos app on your iOS or Android to find the ip address. Check under Settings -> About my Sonos System

Open a web browser and type http://[your ip address from above]:1400/customsd.htm. So for me this would be http://192.168.1.203:1400/customsd.htm.

Enter the information below into the form and hit submit. This will add the service to your Sonos.

2. Service Name: OneDrive
3. Endpoint URL: http://sonosonedrive.herokuapp.com/soap
4. Secure Endpoint URL: https://sonosonedrive.herokuapp.com/soap
5. Polling Interval: 3600
6. Authentication SOAP header policy: Device Link
7. Strings table:
   • Version: 1
   • Uri: https://sonosonedrive.herokuapp.com/static/strings.xml
8. Presentation map:
   • Version: 1
   • Uri: https://sonosonedrive.herokuapp.com/static/presentationMap.xml
9. Container Type:
   • Music Service
10. Capabilities:
    • Search

How To Access Onedrive On Gmail For Mac Desktop

Go back to your Sonos app and choose Add Music Service. You should now find OneDrive in the list of services.

Select I already have an account.

Open https://login.live.com/oauth20_remoteconnect.srf and enter the code shown in the Sonos window.

Allow access for the OneDrive Sonos app. You might have to log in first with your Microsoft credentials if you haven't done already.

Now you are all set and can start listening to music from your OneDrive. Browse through your folders and add folders or songs to your My Sonos.

Removing OneDrive from your Sonos

If you would like to remove the OneDrive service from your Sonos just follow the steps below.

Open your desktop app and go to Manage -> Settings…

Find the OneDrive services in the list and hit Remove.

How To Access Gmail Account

Go back to the browser page from above and submit the form, leaving all fields empty, but the SID set to 248. This will remove the OneDrive service from your Sonos.
